The Villa

The Villa, a subdivision originally marketed in the early 1900s as Irving Park Villa, is a Chicago landmark district. It’s not a particularly distinguished landmark area, although it does have an integrity about it, with most of its mostly bungalow-style homes showing Prairie, Craftsman and American Four-Square influences.

The area’s defining characteristics include the stone pillars that mark its boundaries, landscaped parkways, floral circles, and front-lot setbacks. The Villa is bounded on the south by Addison Ave (3600 N), on the west by Pulaski Ave (4000 W), and on the north by Avondale Ave, which parallels the Kennedy Expy.
