Most of Ravenswood is in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood, but part of it (the historic core of Ravenswood) is in the Uptown area.

It's generally acceptable to include anything in the area from Montrose Ave (4400 N) north to Foster Ave (5200 N), and from Clark St west to the Chicago River, within the boundaries of Ravenswood, although many would argue for less expansive boundaries.

The recently-recognized East Ravenswood Historic District is technically part of both Uptown and Lake View, and includes Lake View's Graceland West. The District runs roughly from Irving Park Rd (4000 N) to Foster Ave (5200 N), and from Clark St west to Ravenswood Ave (1800 N). It does not include, as some would argue, the Sheridan Park area between Broadway St and Clark St.
