Logan Square is Community Area 22 of 77 on the city's official list.It's bounded on the south by Bloomingdale Ave (1800 N), on the north by Diversey Ave (2800 N), and sprawls west from the Chicago River to Pulaski Rd (4000 W).

The official community area boundaries no longer correspond to what's commonly considered Logan Square. Most people today consider Western Ave and the Kennedy Expy the eastern boundary of Logan Square. The Palmer Square neighborhood is part of Logan Square, as is part of Bucktown.
