Lake View is one of Chicago's 77 official community areas - area 6. Lake View lies along Chicago's north lakefront and is bounded by Diversey Pkwy (2800 N) north to Irving Park Rd (4000 N), and Lake Michigan west to Ravenswood Ave (1800 W).
